Jakob Dylan
Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Jakob Dylan is best known as the leader of the alternative group The Wallflowers -- and as the son of a certain American music legend. On the Rick Rubin-produced solo album Seeing Things, Dylan offers up acoustic folk songs that touch on war, evil and the apocalypse – reminding some of, well, an earlier Dylan. He joins us for a live in-studio performance.
Jakob Dylan and the Gold Mountain Rebels perform tonight at the Blender Theater at Gramercy. Doors at 8 p.m.

Thanks so much for posting this interview/studio performance. I was at the show and it was truly fantastic. I've got my cd of Seeing Things and will be playing it for a long time to come.
Did Jakob ask for the pumped up bass on his Mike?
Can you stop it? It's ridiculous and everything he says is all muddled.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's an accident and not vanity driven.
Is Jakob married?
Lil Wayne is garbage, if you listen to his words 90% make no sense. Hes constantly high so that makes sense as to why only he understands whats saying. He had a song not to long ago with one of the catchiest hooks i ever heard and then he came in and RUINED it.
Its about feeling like your dying because your so high...... HAHAHAHAHAHA but then you hear the song and it makes ZERO sense. If NAS or Jay had that hook it would have been a classic from day one...... LIL WHINER SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS
