Music critic Jody Rosen of Slate.com joins us for a look back at pop and rock in 2008. Plus, Rosen shares his top 10 list for the year. And, you can cast your vote for best album in four genres.

If the songs I'm hearing on your show constitute "the best of 2008", then what a terrible year in pop music! Popular sales never had anything to do with quality music.
I remember 1992 when Los Lobos' "Kiko", Aimee Mann's "Whatever", Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend", and XTC's "Nonesuch" were all released - and all were brilliant.
God we can only hope that Indie day is coming soon

yeah, If I were a Boy is a pretty pretty song, but it's also INCREDIBLY STUPID.
At least she got the grammar right in the title.
