If the songs I'm hearing on your show constitute "the best of 2008", then what a terrible year in pop music! Popular sales never had anything to do with quality music.

I remember 1992 when Los Lobos' "Kiko", Aimee Mann's "Whatever", Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend", and XTC's "Nonesuch" were all released - and all were brilliant.

yeah, If I were a Boy is a pretty pretty song, but it's also INCREDIBLY STUPID.

At least she got the grammar right in the title.
