Also: New York-based septet Spottiswoode & His Enemies is a swirling cocktail of indie-rock, folk, country and even big band music. Englishman Jonathan Spottiswoode leads the ensemble, whose unusual band name is part of a running gag of criminal intrigue in liner notes and on an entertaining web site. The real entertainment, however, lies in the songs and their clever arrangements. Spottiswoode & His Enemies join us for a live performance.

Oops, misspelled the name again, let's never speak of this.
Sorry, misspelled "Spottiswode," but I still like the music!
Had never heard Spottispode -- terrific. Funny and haunting. I'm probably nuts but something about his singing and lyrics remind me of Leonard Cohen -- a great favorite. An album may be an emergency purchase.
Where's Riley? You can't play without Riley.
These guys are GREAT!!!
Amazingly original, great entertaining music. I'll definitley buy a CD.
