Okkervil River

Thursday, September 27, 2007

Okkervil River’s latest album, "The Stage Names," is a contender for indie rock’s album of the year. The fourth offering from the Austin-based group is filled with folky rave-ups and songwriter Will Sheff’s rich stories about troubled artists. Okkervil River joins us for a live performance in the Soundcheck studio.

Okkervil River put on a great show in Cambridge & I was amazed at the devotion of the fans. They knew all the songs & indeed sang along! I think they deserve album of the year. See them live! You won't be disappointed.

Hello,

If "The Stage Names," is a contender for indie rock’s album of the year, I'd hate to hear the "pretenders"!!

The lead singer of this "band" would be much better off following.

Yuk!

SOUNDCHECK SAYS: Look out, Hold Steady! A new rock rival for Okkervil River!
