After checking out the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music in Morocco, Bono is now saying that Middle Eastern music should be the next big thing for rockers. WNYC’s Rob Weisberg was at Fes and he joins Chicago Tribune rock critic Greg Kot for a discussion about the whys and hows of East-West fusions.

As a dancer in the middle eastern field, I'm always interested in new directions in the music. This discussion was very informative; however, I was a bit surprised that the underground classic, "My Life In the Bush of Ghosts," which was produced by Brian Eno and David Byrne in 1981 was not mentioned. There were several cuts of middle eastern music used in that album, so the music is not new to Brian Eno. There was some controversy about that album and I would have liked hearing some commentary. Thank you.
