When Ali Farka Touré died in 2006, the music world lost a great Malian bluesman. But the torch has been passed. Ali’s son, Vieux Farka Touré, has released a self-titled debut album, which draws heavily on the same blues-inflected North African style that made his father famous. Vieux Farka Touré performs live in our studio.
Vieux Farke Touré will be performing at Joe's Pub on Thursday, February 8. Call 212-967-7555 for tickets.
