JIM DeROGATIS is like a pair of a Monitor Loudspeaker that sound engineers use in the recording studio in order to hear all the notes, timbres, nuances & chords in their original intended sound origins. So; if there is an Angel in the recording studio is a pair of Monitor Loudspeakers & the recording engineers listen to IT & base their tuning on them & of course their own experiences.
JIM is the most honest Music connoisseur. 2gether with Greg Kot @ SOUND OPINIONS - which I never miss- they are the YinYang of the Art of MUSIC criticizing.

BRILLIANT!!! Jim DeRogatis for President!!! For once in a long time, a critic doing his job in an honest, non-buyer's guide fashion. We need to CLONE him, tuh-DAY!!!
THANK you Jim DeRogatis and John Scheaffer for presenting the forever plunging Eagles, who have left yet another dropping on the world of music. They are leaving behind the blandest, emptiest nest in all of pop--past, present and future. This latest one is yet another rotten egg.
good god, make it stop! that eagles song is absolutely dreadful. i'm trying to eat here.
