The MAN is a living legend.
I have this question & I like Soundcheck to give me the answer:
Is there any square in the city of New York or in any part of the USA to be called: Jazz Square?
Or a boulevard named Charlie Parker?
Jo Jones Avenue? Duke Ellington Highway?
John Coltrane Train Station? Miles Davis Airport?
Max Roach Hills? Elvin Jones Building?
Thelonious Monk Alley? Ron Carter Parkway? Chico Hamilton Drive?
This is a great practice every American must do.
JAZZ & BLUES are "THE" t.r.a.d.i.t.i.o.n.a.l=NATIONAL=UniVersal MUSIC of USA.
It really deserves more attention than ever before.
Another question: Is there any memorial postal stamps paying respects to JAZZ &/or BLUES greats dead or alive? I only know of just one: Joe Zawinul. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
There are many other ways to show our gratitude to the Jazz/Blues Artists.
One has to improvise.
Thanks for this wonderful episode John...
Cheers.
Hamid.
