Performance anxiety is a fact of life for all musicians. According to performance coach Don Greene, Ph.D., you can deny the problems of stress in performance or you can face them, even learn to embrace them. He has worked with musicians at Juilliard, the Metropolitan Opera and major orchestras with techniques built on a surprisingly simple message: don't try to relaxit doesn't work. He’ll tell us what exactly that means. Also, WNYC Cultural Reporter Judith Kampfner joins us to discuss the Soundwalk series of self-guided audio tours that allow you to tour the city while listening to a CD or MP3 file. She recently got a sneak preview of the Ground Zero edition, which is narrated by writer Paul Auster and guides you past the Trade Center site to the Hudson River. The guide features music and other audio recordings associated with the Twin Towers and 9/11.
