Writer and performer Camille Yarbrough drops by today to discuss the power and lasting effects of the late Nina Simone. Simone's music, writings, and activism are the subject of a lecture and tribute concert by the Black Rock Coalition this weekend. Also, composer Laura Kaminsky and other members of the Musician’s Accord give us a live preview of their upcoming program of music that responds to war. And WNYC's very own Music Director Hester Furman stops by for this week’s CD review.
