Soundcheck Goes to Brooklyn

As the music scene goes, Brooklyn has been the new Manhattan for a while now, and Soundcheck takes a survey of some of the borough's more eclectic musical offerings, past and present. Highlights include a visit with the Brooklyn-based, Haitian performance group, La Troupe Makandal; a focus on the Center for Traditional Music and Dance; and a look at the world of trumpeter Ahmed Abdullah.
