Bosnian pianist Pedja Muzijevic plays live in the studio and discusses the lesser-known works of “the father of Czech music,” composer Bedrich Smetana. And before the innovative electric-string duo Two Siberians hit Lincoln Center Out of Doors later this month, they stop by for a conversation and live performance.
Pedja Muzijevic has tackled musical works from the 18th and 19th centuries on period instruments and by such contemporary composers as Oliver Knussen, Elliott Carter, John Corigliano, and Charles Wuorinen. His upcoming Music Mountain recital program includes compositions by Dmitri Shostakovich.
