Eric Pace, New York Times correspondent, discusses his novel Nightingale.

New York Times correspondent Eric Pace speaks about his new thriller, Nightingale. The book depicts a plot by mercenaries to steal the Iranian crown jewels and escape via the ancient city of Persepolis. Host Walter James Miller remarks that the novel’s appearance is timely, given the revolution taking place in Iran. Pace says his travels through the region and encounters with unusual people there inspired many of the settings and characters in the novel. Pace also says he believes that Iran will experience a period of instability and may resemble Iraq or Libya in five years.
