Kiddie Morality

Tickle Fight

How do we develop our sense of morality? Even toddlers know there is a right and wrong beyond the rules in a class room. While host Jad Abumrad attends playgroup, Robert Krulwich concludes that children are sociopaths. Dr. Judi Smetana refutes that claim while guiding us through her research on the development of moral and social knowledge. And then, more fighting. We'll witness, through a mother's eyes, a pre-school brawl that results in blood and one boy's burgeoning sense of empathy.

Telling another tale of classroom chaos, producer Amy O'Leary takes us along on a trip to right a wrong. She'll confront her fourth grade teacher and drudge up former classmates to put to rest the legacy of the "Homestead" game. In the process, she'll peel back layers to reveal the dark side of formative experiences that shape an individual's morality.

I have subscribed to the feed for your podcast / Radio Lab (it is not available on my local public radio station), but I do not understand where the link to download the shows are. In most of my other feeds, there is a direct link in the feed. I used Google Reader.

    Thank you

    Brad,

Same here, their feeds must be messed up. The only feed that works correctly (7/11/07) is "Morality (Radio Lab: Friday, July 06, 2007)."

Hopefully they'll get the kinks out soon.

    (I use Netvibes)

Same here. I use google reader to keep track of all my podcasts. Not only does radio lab not have a link to the file in the reader, but I don't see a link on this page either. Are they not available any longer?

At least I'll get to listen this week since KUT has temporarily picked RL up.

To answer the questions above, click "Back to Episode" then scroll to the top for the link. I agree that they could make the process more straightforward.
