Jay's Kids and Kids on Spirituality
Sunday, March 30, 2003
Kids tackling big important questions - that's the pseudo theme of this week's Radio Lab. Questions like: What do you do when you find out your dad isn't just YOUR dad? And of course, what bigger question mark is there than GOD?
Shades of Gray
Sunday, March 23, 2003
Pro-choice. Pro-life. Most people have already chosen sides in the ongoing debate, so why revisit the issue? Shades of Gray shares a range of stories told by people young and old who have been directly affected by abortion, instead of the polemics of irreconcilable extremes. It's a carefully crafted audio mosaic and a stark portrayal of the intensely personal nature of our relationship with abortion. Listen to the documentary by clicking the button below.
Bridges
Sunday, March 16, 2003
This week, Radio Lab explores bridges, both literal and metaphoric, because a bridge is more than a way to get to the other side. A bridge is a monument. A place where man came upon an obstacle and did not turn away. The first stone bridges had cathedrals on top of them (so crossers would have to pass through in order to get to the other side). In fact, the word "Pope" comes from the early Italian for "bridge-builders."
Radio Diaries
Sunday, March 09, 2003
This week, Radio Lab invites radio-diaries guru Joe Richman into the studio to play a few highlights from the last eight years, plus some hilarious outtakes that were left on the cutting room floor.
Dog Tales
Sunday, March 02, 2003
