Ho, Ho Humbug
Saturday, December 24, 2005
Steve Post, ever ambivalent, cries “Ho, Ho Humbug” and urges us all to put the X back into XMAS. This week’s NO SHOW features Steve singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” in a truly extraordinary rendition (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) and a special edition of The Broken News department with a follow-up on “The European Dwarf Shortage: A Growing Problem.” By and large, the music is not as annoying as you might expect, but some of it is.
A Close Shave
Saturday, December 17, 2005
Steve Post, host of The NO SHOW and always one to go against the grain, has a close shave, and he wants you to know all about it. As for the music this week, let it slide. (This is a previously-owned program, first broadcast February fifth of this year.)
Ruminations Upon the Nugatory
Saturday, December 10, 2005
Steve Post rouses himself from a deep funk and, now in a shallow funk, he ruminates upon the nugatory. Two more Broken News items this week, and two more people inducted into The NO SHOW Musical Necropolis: Chris Whitley and Fritz Richmond. The music is radioactive.
Latest Acquisitions
Saturday, December 03, 2005
Steve Post relates his latest acquisitions: more mail order junk to fill his teeny apartment and his feelings of emptiness and anomie. In other business, Steve and Frank Millspaughhis producer, alter ego, and noodge (or is that “stooge”?)report on “The Broken News.” And they induct the late Ibrahim Ferrer and Link Wray into The NO SHOW Musical Necropolis.
