Again this week we will return to those thrilling years of yesterday (the late 70's to be exact), and Steve Post’s “work-no-longer-in-progress. “ At this point in our story, Steve has left nonprofit WPFRPeace & Freedom Radio for the financial rewards of "top forty" commercial radio. No longer the manager, no longer the on-air personality, he nowfor the big buckswrites and reads an hourly, three-minute newscast from 9 PM until midnight, at the breaks in the show featuring the station prima donna, Renee Michelle -- the most dreaded person in the station and soon to be Steve’s committed adversary. Those of you who persevered through last few No Shows will be bitterly aware that Steve Post has been doing readings from his “work no longer in progress.” At this point in his story, he has been working for some years at WPFR Peace and Freedom Radiowhere he has served in a number of positions including mail room supervisor and on-air personality. Now he has reached the apotheosis of his career at WPFR: THE MANAGER.

Steve concludes the chapter from his “work no longer in progress” describing his first on-the-air days at WPFR: Peace & Freedom Radio. Emily Levine, the No Show “embedded political correspondent" checks in with a few comments on “girly-men” and the Democratic National Convention. The music commemorates Mississippi Freedom Summer of 1964 and the deaths of Andrew Goodman, James Chaney, and Michael “Mickey” Schwerner.
