Episode #25

Saturday, January 25, 2003

Steve Post participated at an early age in that American ritual of self-realization and personal transformation, the cross-country automobile trip. Join him on this episode of the No Show as he thrills to the call of the open road. Be there as Steve's father critiques the techniques of his fellow motorists. Listen as Steve says, "More sourballs, please." You probably could have programmed the music yourself, but we did it for you.

Episode #24

Friday, January 24, 2003

Because The No Show was preempted last Saturday, we are rebroadcasting a program this Friday that first aired on November 9, 2002. Steve Post reveals yet more of his darkest secrets (what might his lightest secrets be?) as he discusses "The Sweet Science versus A Back Rub" or "How a Pacifist Learns to Love Violence." Musical selections will reflect this ominous turn of mind while studiously avoiding overt references to any relevant current events. Steve will return "almost live" at his regular time Saturday.

Episode #23

Saturday, January 11, 2003

Steve continues to be felled by the flu. Therefore, we present, for your entertainment and edification, Steve's ruminations on the vagaries of aging, demonstrating some of those vagaries even as he speaks. Listen to Steve propose sweeping social changes to accommodate his personal whims. Hear him as he says, "Pops?!" Music selections underscore the program's theme in an unabashedly obvious manner. This program was first broadcast on November 2, 2002. We hope that The No Show will return "almost live" at its regular time next week. We also hope for an end to disease and poverty and war.

Episode #22

Saturday, January 04, 2003

Steve begins the New Year by coming down with the flu. Therefore, we are broadcasting a "used show" for The No Show, featuring the transcendental cool of Hoagy Carmichael with an interview regarding his works by the inimitable Sara Fishko. This program was first broadcast on August 31, 2002. Steve will return "almost live" at his regular time next week (deo volente and the creek don't rise).
