Goodman
More than four decades after the fact, new criminal charges have been brought in the murders of Andrew Goodman, James Cheney, and Mickey Schwerner, young civil rights workers in Mississippi. Steve Post talks with Dr. Carolyn Goodman, Andrew’s 89-year-old mother, about the coming trials, her participation, and the film she is producing on the matter. The music is of or about the civil rights movement. This program first aired in April, 2005, and is rebroadcast on the occasion of Dr. Goodman’s 90th birthday.
