    Legendary Armenian multi-instrumentalist Arto Tuncboyaciyan takes center stage on this edition of New Sounds. His resume includes performing the traditional 6-string sazabo, soloing on the traditional double-reed duduk, and collaborating as a percussionist with such leading jazz musicians as Joe Zawinul, Al Di Meola, and Chet Baker. Since 1998, Tuncboyaciyan has been a regular performer with Paul Winter and the Earth Band. He is the featured artist on Paul Winter's Grammy-nominated Journey with the Sun, which we hear on tonight's program.

From October 30, 1989, the infamous "cooking show" with composer/raconteur Robert Moran. Recorded while cooking an Indian dinner in John Schaefer's kitchen, for reasons still not entirely clear.
