From the New Sounds Live Silent Film series at the World Financial Center, listen to new music written for the films of Japanese master Yasujiro Ozu and played live by composer/bandleaders Robin Holcomb, Wayne Horvitz, and Lori Goldston. These three Seattle-based composers managed to make it despite the Snowmageddon. Hear excerpts from cellist Lori Goldston's score for a tale of father-son closeness - Ozu's "Passing Fancy," Wayne Horvitz' score to the melodrama of sibling sacrifice, "Woman of Tokyo," and highlights from Robin Holcomb's score for the crime thriller "That Night's Wife."
