New Sounds is pre-empted tonight for Bloomsday on Broadway. However, New Sounds has made a special podcast available! Enjoy this show with Daníel Bjarnason .
The young Icelandic composer Daníel Bjarnason has worked with Sigur Ros , Amina , and other Icelandic rock and non-classical acts. Bjarnason is also the co-founder and chief conductor of the Isafold Chamber Orchestra . For this New Sounds program, he’ll unveil a new work at our piano and present some of his electronically-enhanced chamber music on his album "Processions." Its careful and beautiful chaos veers from shred-classical to the lyrical and then the clangorous.
PROGRAM # 3044, with Daníel Bjarnason (First aired on Tues., 03/02/10)
