Comments [4]
There are other covers of Kraftwerk songs that have been given other names. And other tracks that have used Kraftwerk melodies .. take a listen to Coldplays "Talk"
John, If you take a listen to your broadcast at 49:24, you clearly state "... a very distinctive rift from the German trio Kraftwerk ...". I suspect "Trio" slipped in becuase of the next track.
Mistakes do happen ;o))
A great show by the way!

Yes, the Mirror Stage IS a cover of "Hall of Mirrors" - not sure why they changed the name but I thought I'd mentioned it. Guess not...
I'm pretty sure I would NOT have called Kraftwerk a trio. I did call the Trio Fratres a trio, for obvious reasons, but listening back to the show, I don't hear any reference to Kraftwerk themselves as anything but a "band." (They sort of are a trio nowadays, so I was deliberately being vague on the issue.)
John
The track "The Mirror Stage" is a cover of Kraftwerk's "The Hall of Mirrors".
Kraftwerk do not have a track entitled "The Mirror Stage" as is stated in the program.
Also in the program it is stated that Kraftwerk are a "trio". This, of course, is incorrect. They are a "quartet".

Balanescu Quartet's "Possessed" CD contained some non-Kraftwerk covers, including "Hanging Upside-Down" by David Byrne.
