John has always been upfront about his health problems - he has Marfan's Syndrome, which affects the heart. He had an episode recently which will prevent him from attending next Thursday's premiere of his new work for multiple string quartets at the Rubin Museum in NY. This has happened before, and when it does Sir John is restricted from traveling by airplane; but he's always bounced back in the past and of course we're hoping will do so again.
I love John Tavener looks like a great show. Do you know how his health is? Last Time I saw one of his choral pieces here in NYC he was very sick.
Thanks as always for your outstanding choice in music.
