Sonic pioneer Pauline Oliveros is the topic of this edition of New Sounds. The composer was an accordionist and member of the San Francisco Tape Music Center in the 1960s, and a teacher at the University of California at San Diego and York University. She is currently president of the Pauline Oliveros Foundation, Inc., a non-profit program for the arts that she founded in 1985 to support the creation of new works in the arts.
