Works built around sounds of acoustic keyboard take top billing on this edition of New Sounds. Hear New York composer Molly Thompson’s “Pirene's Fountain,” a work for piano, acoustic double-bass and recorded sound. Listen to the distinctive sounds of Australian minimalism as composer Robert Lloyd himself plays both vibraphone and piano in “Measure Against Measure.” Also, there’s piano music by Philip Glass and Brian Agro to round out the show.
