Program #1867

Sunday, December 08, 2002

The ethereal textures of the English boychoir Libera; the minimalist mixed-voice works of Finnish master Einojuhani Rautavaara; the calming, mystical sounds of solo ambient musician Sara Ayers: These seemingly disparate artists all carry forward with a particular vocal music tradition rooted in everything from ancient chants to austere folk genres. These join vocal works by Daniel Lentz, Garrett Fisher, and Alma Anima, among others, on this installment of New Sounds.

PROGRAM # 1867, Vocal works (First aired on Wed. 12/20/00)
