Episode #104
Some Folks Singing-The Undead
Friday, March 25, 1988
Joan Baez teams with Peter (PDQ Bach) Schickele for a moving song based on a text by e.e. cummings. Inuit Eskimo women sing into each other's throats: the results are probably not what you'd expect. Also, music based on the vocal styles of the Celtic, British, Greek, East African, Indian and Indonesian folk traditions. And more.

Sometime in the eighties you played a recording - it sounded almost like a drunk on the street singing - of a song with a line like "Jesus' love will never save me." That's probably not the exact line but the recording haunts me. Is it in the archives?
Thanks.
