In the wake of his opera, "Nixon in China," John Adams has had to deal with a degree of media attention usually reserved for pop superstars. On this program, Adams discusses his opera, the press hype that surrounded it, and looks back on at a long career in new music. Selections include, "The Chairman Dances," "Tromba Lontana," and excerpts from "Harmonielehre," "Shaker Loops," and others.
