Opens with announcement from WNYC "Election Central" of Abraham Beame's (unheard) concession speech. Followed by very brief wrap-up at the Americana Hotel Ballroom (the Democratic Party Election Headquarters).

Report from Jay Jones at the Roosevelt Hotel, Republican Headquarters. Jones reports on the restlessness of the crowd as they wait for Lindsay. Brief speech by Senator Ken Keating, who was recently elected to the New York Court of Appeals.
Reporter describes the crush of people as Lindsay enters the room. Police officers try to form a wall to keep the crowd away from the rostrum. Jones questions if he is even still on the air after the crowd trips over his microphone wires.
Lindsay finally arrives to the stage and quickly chastises the reporters who are blocking the audiences view. Lindsay thanks the many volunteers who made his election possible, he laments that his running mates were not as successful as he. Lindsay thanks many others who contributed to his campaign, including family, newspaper editors, union leaders, etc.

Jones reports on Lindsay's exit amidst a "crush of humanity." Sign off at 2:50 am.
