First of all, it was a _great_ story, and very well told. I can't imagine the pain of getting shot in the ankle, or anywhere else for that matter. I admit I wasn't expecting that outcome. I thought perhaps the Muslim fighters were going to chastise Mr. Caputo for inventing a PLO commander.
I have one complaint, and in the grand scheme it's a small one. I wish Mr. Caputo hadn't piled on New Jersey in his opening. Mr. Caputo, if you happen to read this, here are 50 images of our state that might convince you it is more like Switzerland than you thought: http://www.markbetz.net/2011/05/31/jersey-sore/
Thank you for sharing your life with us,
