Master of Ceremonies Bill Leonard is introduced. He mentions his show, "Eye on New York" and goes on to talk about the problems facing New York and the efforts being made by those present to remedy this problems. He introduces the members of the dais.

Deputy Mayor Paul T. O'Keefe is welcomed to the microphone to speak briefly. He apologizes for the Mayor's absence. He goes on to talk about the housing situation in New York. He discusses policy matters and the work of the Housing and Urban Renewal Committee. He encourages all to adopt the suggestions of Mr. Davies.

Commissioner of the Department of Real Estate J. Clarence Davies is introduced by Bill Leonard. He speaks about housing - particularly the need for middle-income housing in the City. Also discuss the elimination of slums and blight. Redevelopment projects benefit all of us.
