Garbage Disposal Plant Cornerstone Ceremony

Cornerstone ceremony for a garbage incinerator plant in Maspeth, Queens at 58th Street and 53rd Avenue. This was the first of five incinerator built under the supervision of Mayor O'Dwyer. The cost of this first incinerator was $5 million. O'Dwyer was unable to attend, Colonel John J Bennett.
