Last year, more than $600 million damage was done by fire, nearly 10,000 people were killed. Greater New York Safety Council annual conference to find new ways to combat this menace to life and property. In coop with the council, a message on fire safety from Fire Commissioner Frank J. Quail, delivered by acting Lieutenant Thomas P. Cullenan.
