General Eisenhower addresses the joint session of Congress with a tribute to the US soldiers. He speaks of the great sacrifices made by American soldiers and their families. He speaks of the hazards soldiers faced during the war, and notes the bravery with which they met them.
He speaks with reverence of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Eisenhower speaks of the loyalty and bravery of the members of the American armed forces.
