Fareed Zakaria

Sunday, March 05, 2006

Newsweek International editor Fareed Zakaria is “Mad About Tenors” and reveals his favorites to host Gilbert Kaplan. Top of his list is Sweden’s Jussi Björling singing Mozart; Fritz Wunderlich, Mahler and Pavarotti, in his signature aria, Puccini’s “Nessun dorma!” – Zakaria says, “The kind of thing you listen to late at night when somebody’s broken your heart,” or when “perhaps you’ve had one glass of wine too many.”
