Alan M. DershowitzThe youngest full professor in the history of Harvard Law School, Alan Dershowitz tells host Gilbert Kaplan that he can't write legal briefs without music playing in the background -- preferably opera. His favorite: Verdi's Don Carlo (especially the famous male-male duet). As a teenager, he once wrote lyrics for Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony; when facing a difficult decision he often turns to Mahler for inspiration. And suspects he might be related to another favorite composer, Gershwin (whose real name was Gershowitz).
