Wilderness in New York City

Photographer Joel Meyerowitz tells us where hidden pockets of wilderness exist within New York City. Legacy: The Preservation of Wilderness in New York City’s Parks, written by Phillip Lopate, shows a collection of Meyerowitz'a photographs of the city’s parks, shorelines, and forests. The book accompanies the exhibition Legacy: The Preservation of Wilderness in New York City’s Parks at the Museum of the City of New York, on view through March 21, 2010.

Event: Joel Meyerowitz will be in conversation with Phillip Lopate and will be signing books

    I can always tell the difference between digital and film. People have just gotten used to digital more than the quality has become comparable.
