Filmmaker Paul Devlin and his brother Mark Devlin discuss Paul's film "BLAST!" It follows Mark, a cosmologist, as he leads a team of scientists launching a revolutionary new telescope under a NASA high-altitude balloon, with the hopes of figuring out how all the galaxies were formed. My dad worked on a similar project, Stratoscope II, in the early 60s. I'm curious as whether this project builds on a similar theory or is entrely different.
oh, by the way, my father took his family (me my mom & two younger sisters) with him to the Stratoscope II launches! I remember it all very clearly, it was cool (I was 4). I'm looking forward to going to see this movie!
