Cloris Leachman delivered one of the funniest film lines ever in 'Young Frankenstein,' when she declared, "Yes.... He was my... boyfriend!"
I salute Ms. Leachman for not only her comedic roles, but for her dramatic work as well. Brava!
Nina, that line always makes me laugh out loud just thinking about it! I don't know exactly what it is; the simplicity, the acting, the camera angle? Ms. Leachman hits and scores a big time guffaw.
I loved "Kiss Me, Deadly."
Please, please, please - ask her to say:
"You may Kill Thorndike!"
Her performance in High Anxiety is my absolute favorite...
tell her i haven't READ her book!
and i never read jerry lewis's book after his bad treatment of LL
