Leonard forgot to mention he's an actor - a major love interest of Carrie on Sex and the City and of course a cool spy in White Nights with the late Gregory Hines :(
With all due respect to the revered host and guest, I was disappointed to hear that Baryshnikov was going to be on the show talking about his photographs. Now I understand that he has just released a book of them, so it makes more sense. He's brilliant in his own field, I don't know his pictures. But I know my own, and those of many other emerging artists, and have wished in the past, and now again, that there might be some space for us on your show. I sent you a small catalog of my (Hudson) River series, Leonard, last year.
So wonderful to hear of his connection to DR. One more reason to admire the person and the artist!
As a working photographer I cant help but to roll my eyes again as another actor, musician, dancer, activist, etc.. picks up a camera and all of a sudden is showing at the premiere galleries and publishing books. Suppose I'm bitter but for the love of christ!
Rich soul, has Baryshnikov. I'm thankful to have heard the interview.
Where on this site is the slide show you spoke of?
The Lopate Show responds: You can find the link to the slideshow above. Our apologies for the delay.
