Curious to know how T.C. Boyle's process in writing this historical novel ("The Women") differs, if at all, from his process twenty-some years ago in writing another one ("World's End")
My friend is a house builder and he says that Wright's buildings were poorly constructed. Has that been your experience?
I wonder what T.C. Boyle said about the Times' Michiko Kakutani that ticked her off enough to pan "The Women" ... his other reviews have been very laudatory. Can anyone enlighten?
I love Boyle's works, especially the ones about Southern California. ("Tortilla Curtain" is a heart-breaking look at a slice of life few middle- or upper-class Americans can ever imagine.) If you have a chance to go to one of his readings, do so!
