I've been a subscriber to New York Magazine for many years.
For the past few years they have been using "near" street or avenue instead of "between" street or avenue.
This vagueness is especially annoying as most of us walk places.
For example; if a place is 33rd Street, near Third Avenue. Is it between Second and Third Avenues or Third and Fourth Avenues.
