Underreported: What Happens to Released Guantanamo Detainees

President-Elect Obama plans to close the Guantanamo prison camp. What will happen to the detainees there? Find out what's happened to former Guantanamo prisoners after being released following years of detention. Eric Stover of UC Berkeley’s Human Rights Center is co-author of a recent study profiling former captives.

    What can I say? Have the UC Berkeley fellow on if you must. But ask him some tough questions too like those asked of Arlen Spector back last year. Perhaps I am a minority here as a fan of WNYC but wanting some more respected voices across the spectrum. And wanting them to be treated fairly. I think Arlen felt pretty roughed up. Here's an unasked question...

    How many men in the countries to which these ex-Guantanamo prisoners were sent back, are unemployed... or are angry and depressed because of us? (Was it true even before the sad events of Guantanamo?)
