A completely enthralling interview. In this unhappy week of loss, the melodious sound of Indian voices on WNYC & NPR have served as an anchor of moderation, civilization and calm. (Today, educated Indians and Scots are the best speakers of the Queen's English.)
Mr. Ghosh's book is on my must-read list.
beautiful English read out loud.
current American English is deeper in the toilet than our economy, even as spoken in the media. it has followed the garbage trail of our public school education from elementary to university. how dare our colleges accept and graduate the trashy English spoken by college graduates today. Mr. Ghosh's book is on my list too, but hearing him read out loud was beautiful.
