Who Will Be in the Next President’s Cabinet?
Thursday, October 30, 2008
As soon as Election Day is over, the search will be on for the best and brightest to fill the next President’s cabinet. We talk to Blake Hounshell of Foreign Policy magazine, which has asked 10 of the world’s top thinkers to name who they think can best guide our next President through the turbulent years ahead. The resulting article, "The Dream Team," is in its Nov./Dec. issue.

Susan Rice and Samantha Power have both been mentioned as a potential secretary of state for Obama. Who would McCain have in his potential cabinet?
secretary of peace?
secretary for the poor?
Perhaps I missed the mention, but I wondered why I did not hear Wesley Clark's name. He is eminently qualified.
Why not Paul Krugman for Treasury Secretary? I was surprised not to see him on the list.
FYI: Definitely NOT Bill Clinton (He's really not as popular as some of the media would have him be--and I voted for him, reluctantly...)
Bloomberg is also in the category of highly overrated and would be huge mistake for any cabinet post. I'm just working on getting him OUT of NYC politics.
