how do depletion allowances influence corporate behavior?
geothermal energy has advantages. exploiting geothermal energy requires expertise in geology and deep drilling as does finding and drilling for oil. have the oil companies been as active as possible in this area? if not, can they be encouraged to be more active? if so, how?
what are the relationships between oil companies and auto makers like? has oil company influence had any effect on how motor vehicles are designed and marketed?
how does ability to substitute (or lack of that ability) affect oil prices?
1) Aren't most oil companies National, state owned companies? Don't foreigners call the shots like OPEC?
2) who is responsible for not building refinaries.
3) can she give me some specifics on what she means by deregulation?
4) in speculation, doesn't it take 2 to tango?
5) Is it true that demand has been going up in China and India?
6> Isn't the insider ownership of Exxon less than 1%. What do all of the employees and shareholders of Exxon do if you want to take some of their profits away?
Did Ms. Juhasz happen to see the Newsday piece about how JP Morgan is now in the Oil business via its subsidiaries' subsidiaries' subsidiaries. Can she comment on it.
