Oregon Coprolites

Thursday, August 28, 2008

University of Oregon archaeologist Dennis L. Jenkins and his students have found mummified human coprolites (ancient human feces) in the Paisley Caves of southern Oregon. Testing shows that the coprolites are from Asiatic peoples and are about 14,000 years old, which means that the first North Americans may have come to this continent 1,000 earlier than previously believed.
