Stephen Greenblatt suggests Shakespeare's secret Catholicism in Will in the World.

Also: I have heard that renaissance fair participants include a powerful subculture of S & M enthusiasts.

I'm a constant listener to your great show---your guest just cited Claire Asquith's "Shadowplay" which you seemed to know nothing about. You interviewed this author in 2005 when this book was released in the US.

    Love your show.

    Thanks

    David,

Lenny interviews so many people, it's no surprise if he can't remember every last person and their book/film/play/opera/nfl season.

Religion is the worship of God and the practice of virtue - how can you get beyond religion?
