  I believe I remember Mr. Mathiessen did a reading of original book in the early 90s when I was a student at Syracuse University. I don't remember every book reading I've attended, but this one stood out. I was intrigued then, and I still am now and I look forward to reading it.

  Also, I remember I originally attended the wrong event and found myself at a talk about Buddhism with Mr. Matthiessen. Is he still involved in Buddhism and how does he feel this influences his writings?

  I have found Peter Mattheissen's book "In The Spirit of Crazy Horse" full of historical mistakes pertaining to the information on Wilbur A Riegert and Father Paul Manhart SJ, and what really happened at the Seige of Wounded Knee, when AIM destroyed their own original White Buffalo Calf Pipe.

  I knew these two honest men personally, Reigert & Manhart...and I find putting words in dead men's mouths offensive, especially when they never uttered the words printed in Peter Matthiessen's book when they were alive.

  This is what happens when you let criminals/Indian Mafia/AIM give their input/lies & proof-read your work.

  History should not be rewritten by crooks & abusers of their own people.

  Shame on Robert Redford for ever making a film of this madeup, save your (AIM) butt history.

  The real story is on www.lookingbackwoman.ca, make sure to watch the Richard Two Elk film clips, along with Reigert's true words about AIM, and think hard about who paid AIM 66,000 in a brown leather suitcase to fund the Seige at Wounded Knee.

  This is something that will sorely challenge the election process in the upcoming election if everyone wants change, eh? A transparent government....good luck.
